Getting to know Karissa Giovannini

I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience in health care, trauma-informed care, and perinatal mental health. My practice is grounded in a deep understanding of how identity, early experiences, and structural forces shape the way we show up in our relationships and our lives. Clients I work with are often navigating layered transitions—becoming parents, sustaining demanding careers, managing the invisible labor of caregiving, or re-evaluating what wholeness and fulfillment actually mean. I respect the vulnerability it takes to seek out therapy and believe the relationship between a therapist and client is essential to a positive experience. Therapy with me offers space to process past experiences, explore what’s no longer serving you, and move forward with greater clarity and intention.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Many individuals may not identify with a specific diagnosis and instead want space to think deeply, shift old patterns, and invest in themselves in a meaningful way. I am currently accepting new clients. All sessions are being conducted remotely. Please reach out with any questions about my practice and availability.
