Getting to know Kary Suazo Baez

I am a 1st generation Spanish and English speaking Latina with years of experience in the mental health field. I have three years of experience working in inpatient psychiatry with some of the most vulnerable populations of our community. I specialize in working with adolescents, young adults, and their families struggling with their mental health, including depression, anxiety, trauma. Aside from these, my passion lies in working with the Latinx and Hispanic community. In my work as an inpatient clinician, I have worked with individuals and families navigating the unique challenges that comes with being an immigrant, whether that is acculturation issues, adjustment to diagnoses, intergenerational differences within a family unit. In our work together, I want to understand your unique life experience, to guide you in becoming the best version of yourself. I look forward to working alongside you in this phase of your life!

What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapeutic approach is individualized to fit your needs. The first few sessions will focus on understanding your life experience and goals. As I learn from you, we will work together to the challenges that have brought you to seek support.
