Psychotherapist
WA
I’m Chief, a trauma-focused therapist who supports adults navigating anxiety, depression, and grief rooted in painful or overwhelming life experiences. I specialize in helping survivors of trauma, including loss, betrayal, violence, and chronic stress, begin healing in a safe, compassionate space. Licensed in WA, ID, NV, and NM, I offer telehealth therapy grounded in EMDR and a calm, supportive approach. Whether your symptoms show up as PTSD, fear, emotional numbness, or exhaustion, you don’t have to face them alone. Healing is possible, and we’ll take it one step at a time. My approach to care is deeply trauma-informed, rooted in compassion, and tailored to meet you exactly where you are. I believe healing happens in relationships, so our work starts by building a foundation of safety, trust, and mutual respect. In our early sessions, we’ll explore what brings you to therapy and identify your goals without rushing the process or pushing into anything that feels unsafe. Once we’ve established that foundation, we may begin to gently process the emotions, beliefs, and memories that are keeping you stuck. I often use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a proven method that helps your nervous system resolve distress connected to trauma. Whether you’re carrying persistent anxiety, fear, shame, grief, or emotional numbness, EMDR and other trauma-based tools can help reduce your symptoms and restore a sense of calm and control. Throughout our work, I’ll offer consistent support, practical tools, and encouragement, never judgment. Healing isn’t linear, and it’s not about “fixing” you. It’s about helping you reconnect with your strength, your voice, and your right to feel safe and whole again.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I specialize in working with adults whose anxiety, depression, or emotional distress is rooted in trauma. Many of my clients are survivors of events like interpersonal violence, childhood neglect, military service, sudden loss, or betrayal, experiences that have left deep emotional imprints, even years later. While some clients come in with a formal diagnosis like PTSD, many simply feel overwhelmed, stuck, or chronically on edge without knowing why. My focus is on helping clients understand how trauma may be shaping their thoughts, emotions, and relationships, and more importantly, how to shift that. Whether you’re dealing with panic, intrusive thoughts, grief that won’t lift, or a constant sense of danger or numbness, we work together to create space for relief, healing, and resilience. I also support professionals, helpers, and caregivers who are carrying the burden of secondary trauma or burnout. If you’ve spent years being the strong one for others, but now feel disconnected from yourself, our work can help you reconnect and begin to restore. I see therapy as a collaboration and offer a steady, nonjudgmental presence as we unpack what’s weighing you down. If trauma is part of your story, recent or distant, I help you carry it with less pain and more self-understanding. You don’t have to go through it alone. Healing is possible.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My communication style is grounded, calm, and direct with a strong emphasis on creating safety and clarity. Clients often tell me they feel immediately at ease because I speak with warmth and honesty, without judgment or pretense. I aim to be real with you, not clinical or distant, and I show up as a steady, supportive presence you can rely on. I tailor my communication to your needs. For some, that means a slower, more reflective pace where we process emotions gently and build language for what’s been hard to name. For others, it might mean providing practical feedback, asking focused questions, or offering education on how trauma impacts the brain and body. Either way, my goal is to help you feel understood, respected, and empowered. I am transparent about what I’m seeing clinically and always check in to make sure we’re aligned. If something feels off, confusing, or overwhelming, we talk about it openly. I believe that trust is built in the moments we navigate discomfort together, and I welcome those conversations. Whether we’re exploring painful memories or celebrating a breakthrough, I hold space with empathy and a quiet confidence. You don’t have to perform or have all the right words. You just have to show up as you are, and I’ll meet you there with care, clarity, and consistency.
