“Kash is easy. The space she offers… Safe Space… allows for reflection and understanding without fear of judgment. It took me some time to realize this but once I did, it was so… freeing. Our chats range from things I would tell my mother, to my best friend, to things I would never tell anyone… not even God. I never feel attacked by answers. Sometimes there are no answers. Sometimes I just need to be felt and heard. She knows how to navigate my tone. I would want everyone to have this type of therapy experience.”

Getting to know Kashmita Prasad

Hi, my name is Kash. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 6 years of experience. I graduated from Holy Names University with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology and also earned a Master's in Counseling Psychology from California State University, East Bay. I am currently pursuing my Psychology Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University. During my time as a mental health therapist, I have provided therapeutic services in various settings, including outpatient clinics, school-based, home-based, intensive outpatient, and private practices. I am skilled in helping individuals, couples, and families develop strategies to manage stressful situations, plan during crises, and connect to higher levels of care or community resources that are available to all. As a South Asian therapist, I have made it a priority to address and educate on issues within the South Asian community by helping individuals and families understand the impact of mental health issues on daily functioning. My clinical approach is integrative. I take my time to understand the issues brought into session and determine the best approach collaboratively with the client and all other collaborators involved in treatment. I understand that dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns can be overwhelming, which is why I am here to provide the best care and support during this time of need.
