Katarina Galyen, LCSW

Psychotherapist
OR
This is my fourth year in the social work field, helping adults, teens, children, and families. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Campbellsville University and am independently licensed in NC and OR as an LCSW. I am also a Certified Birth and Bereavement Doula, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and Certified Integrated Mental Health Professional. My approach I offer a person-centered approach to all of my clients. Every person is unique, so your therapy experience with me will be the same way. I take a holistic health mindset, integrating multiple aspects of life to improve your mental health. My focus I love working with those who are truly seeking lasting change. I have worked with people ages 5 to 80 from a variety of backgrounds. I have specific training in perinatal and maternal mental health, autism, ADHD, religious trauma, complex trauma, infertility, adoption, substance use, anxiety, depression, grief and bereavement, child and infant loss, LGBTQIA+, and holistic health integration. I am also a lived-experience provider. My communication style Going to therapy and taking care of your mental health is becoming much more mainstream. Even still, it can be daunting to think about sharing your life with a stranger. Being hesitant is okay and, to be honest, pretty normal. I strive to create an atmosphere of safety where my clients have the freedom to be themselves and work toward lasting change.
