“Katarina is truly exceptional. My fiancé and I started pre-marital therapy with her during a very emotional season—shortly after I lost my father—and she created a space that was both grounding and deeply healing. She helped us navigate grief while building a strong relational foundation, using tools rooted in emotionally focused therapy and communication frameworks like non-defensive listening and needs-based dialogue. Our sessions improved how we approach conflict, how we attune to each other’s emotions, and how we show up as a team. Thanks to Katarina, we don’t just feel more prepared for marriage—we feel more connected, more seen, and more equipped to handle challenges together. Her warmth, empathy, and clinical insight made a lasting impact, and we’re so grateful to have worked with her.”

Getting to know Katarina Lane

As a compassionate and kind-hearted therapist, I strive to create a safe, authentic space where individuals, couples, and families feel truly seen and supported. My approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect for each person’s unique journey. While I primarily work from a client-centered perspective—honoring your lived experience and inner wisdom—I also integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to help bring clarity, structure, and effective tools for growth. I specialize in working with individuals navigating life transitions, anxiety, and depression, offering support that helps foster resilience and self-compassion. I also work closely with couples who are struggling with communication, helping them reconnect and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships. In my work with teens, I offer a space to explore identity, autonomy, and self-worth, empowering them to build confidence and navigate the complexities of adolescence. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply in need of support, my goal is to walk alongside you with care and understanding, helping you move toward greater balance, connection, and well-being. What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients often describe me as kind-hearted, compassionate, and down-to-earth. I bring my full, authentic self to this work, and I invite you to do the same. My role as your therapist is to walk beside you—not in front of you—with curiosity, care, and nonjudgmental.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

1. We’ll briefly discuss your needs and goals, and I’ll answer any questions you have. 2. Completing Intake Paperwork Before we begin, you’ll fill out digital forms that include: Background information Consent to treatment Privacy practices (HIPAA) Policies around scheduling, cancellations, and fees These forms help me understand your needs and ensure your information is protected. 3. Your First Session (The Intake) In our first 50-minute session, we’ll: Get to know each other Discuss what brings you to therapy Review your goals and concerns Talk about how therapy works and what to expect There’s no pressure to “have it all figured out.” This session is about setting a foundation and helping you feel safe and heard. 4. Ongoing Sessions Each week (or whatever schedule we agree on), we’ll meet for 50-minute virtual sessions. These are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. In sessions, we may: Explore your thoughts, emotions, and patterns Build coping tools (like those from CBT) Deepen your self-awareness and self-compassion Work through challenges in relationships, anxiety, depression, or life transitions ?? My style is warm, client-centered, and collaborative. You set the pace—we’ll go as deep or as gently as you need. 5. Checking In on Progress Throughout therapy, we’ll regularly check in on your progress and goals. Therapy can shift as you grow and your needs evolve. We’ll make space to celebrate wins, process setbacks, and adjust our work together. 6. Wrapping Up or Transitioning When you feel ready, we’ll talk about ending therapy or spacing out sessions. The end of therapy can be empowering and reflective. Some clients return for occasional check-in
