I have focused my decades of work on empowering women to find their own inner strength to grow into the life they have always wanted (and sometimes discover the life they didn't even know they wanted!). My goal is to provide you with a safe space to say the things you need to say, deal with the things you need to deal with, and learn new skills to craft the life you want to manifest, all without the worry of judgment and the knowledge that you are supported in your journey. This thing we call life can be equal parts pain and delight at times, making it all the more confusing. By reaching out, you have made sure that you are not alone. I look forward to learning how I can support you. My approach While I use a cognitive behavioral approach to therapy grounded in the skills of dialectical behavior therapy, working with me is a free-flowing experience in which I take my cue from your needs. Mindfulness, communication skills, validation, tough love, humor, quiet reflection, behavioral homework assignments... Whatever it is you as an individual appear to need to move you toward your goals is what I'll be offering and suggesting. In the end, this is your experience. I'm here to help you achieve the goals you have, even if they change over the course of our work together. I ask that you communicate with me. If you need more or less of something, I want to know about it. Our relationship will be one based on trust that will grow over the course of time. I'll be open and authentic with you, and I hope you will give yourself the gift of being open and authentic in our sessions as well, even if that feels tough. Therapy is a moving science filled with variables. You and I will navigate those variables together to find the path that works best for you. My focus I have found that women tend to take care of everyone except themselves, leaving themselves vulnerable to depression and anxiety, often wondering where their own sense of identity went.
