Hi, my name is Kate Hoffower, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois. I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University. I also have specialized training in expressive arts therapy and ecotherapy. I practice from a strengths-based perspective and will help you identify and develop the qualities and skills you need to achieve your goals. I am happy to include creative arts and/or ecotherapy-based interventions when requested, but most clients just want to talk. I will provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to develop insight, awareness, and self-efficacy. Also, please expect to see the random cameo by Eclipse, my supportive therapy cat.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
