Getting to know Kate McCarty-Welch

PLEASE NOTE: At this time I do not have any open 5pm openings. Any new clients scheduling during this time will be asked to reschedule. Hi there, I'm Kate. Do you find yourself struggling to manage daily life and relationships because of anxiety, OCD, depression, and/or trauma? Do you often feel alone and that no one understands you or your struggles? I see you. My concentration is working with adolescents and adults living with symptoms of trauma, anxiety, OCD, and panic disorder. Treatment is individualized and adapted to each individual client and concern. We will work together using evidenced-based techniques practicing an integrative approach including cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness strategies to help you achieve your goals. My current certifications include Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional-II (CCTP-II). I also have advanced training in the treatment of anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, and phobias. I am also trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Please note, I am currently working toward certification in EMDR and am still in regular consultation meetings. My goal is for you to learn the skills necessary to work me out of a job. Let's get to work!

What should a new client know about working with you?

Once established, we will work together to develop a plan of action to address your specific goals. This may include homework outside of sessions to bridge the gap during our time apart. This is certainly not a requirement and recommended on an individual basis.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
