What should a new client know about working with you?

I practice from a person-centered, goal driven approach. I let the client be the lead and I provide the guidance in assisting them to explore, process and identify behavioral and cognitive patterns that no longer serve them as a result of unresolved trauma, life experiences/changes, and current life stressors. I assist clients in identifying and implementing healthy coping skills to reframe negative thought processes, change behaviors and sustain greater joy, peace, acceptance, purpose and deeper connection across all aspects of their lives.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The new patient process begins first with a 60min intake session, which is where I get to know the "ins-and outs" of your story and life history discussing your primary concerns that bring you to therapy, how long the issues have been going on and your goals for moving forward to improve quality of life. We then schedule follow up sessions on a cadence that best suits your needs to ensure consistent growth and progress, usually weekly or biweekly sessions, with each session being about 53min in length. I provide homework for you in between sessions which is helpful to you remaining accountable in your own growth process, and becoming more mindful of triggers and symptoms and how these impact your life. This allows me to then provide you with healthy coping interventions to assist in managing symtoms and mitigating continued impact on your life.
