Hello! I'm Katherine, and I'm so glad you're here. With a master's degree in counseling focused on trauma studies and marginalized communities from Lesley University, and an undergraduate degree in political science with a focus on human rights from Simon's Rock College of Bard, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our sessions. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and I've dedicated my career to supporting individuals through their most challenging times. I believe that life can often be difficult and overwhelming, but with the right support, guidance, and resources, we all have the ability to heal and recover. My approach to therapy is rooted in this belief, and I utilize a range of therapeutic techniques including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma counseling, grief counseling, mindfulness, and client-centered therapy. Additionally, I make it a priority to connect my clients with appropriate resources in their community to support their journey. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working in diverse settings such as schools, residential programs, detention facilities, outpatient clinics, urgent care/crisis centers, emergency rooms, and veterans programs. This experience has given me a unique perspective on the various challenges individuals face and the best ways to support them. Whether you're dealing with family relationships, grief, life transitions, medical issues, military-related concerns, PTSD, spirituality, stress, suicidal ideation, trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, or anger management, I'm here to help. I started my journey in human services as a teenager, working as a tutor, coach, Big Sister, caseworker, clinician, and program coordinator in various agencies. My experience spans both urban and rural communities, allowing me to understand and appreciate the unique needs of different populations. When we work together, you can expect a compassionate, non-judgmental space where your voice is heard and valued. My goal is to empower you to navigate life's challenges and find a path to healing and growth. If you're ready to take the next step, I'm here to support you. Let's embark on this journey together.
