Kate Wilamska, LCSW

Kate Wilamska, LCSW

Psychotherapist
1440 Renaissance Dr, Ste 320, Park Ridge, IL
Kate is an LCSW and a graduate of Jane Addams School of Social Work at UIC. Since completing her Master Degree in 2004 she worked in a variety of settings, including high school, community mental health center, nursing homes and hospice. Kate offers in-depth transformative work using other than talk therapy approaches. For clients who have done their share of learning, reflection and personal growth, yet feel more is there to explore and reprocess, Kate will offer an augmentation of verbalizing emotions and skill building they had done in therapy previously. In combining elements of EMDR, theta reprogramming and clinical hypnosis, along with Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE) the clients will have a chance to embark on an inner journey of their psyche as experienced in their bodies. We will be engaging in a conscious and subconscious process of decoding and re-coding of the deeply held material. The sessions offered by Kate will be held in person in the Park Ridge office only and require clients’ commitment to doing their own work between the sessions with the therapist. “Personal change takes an intentional act of will, and it usually means that something was making us uncomfortable enough to want to do things differently. To evolve is to overcome the conditions in our life by changing something about ourselves.” ? Joe Dispenza, Evolve Your Brain: The Science of Changing Your Mind
