Psychotherapist
TX
Hello, I'm Katherine. I've been a counselor for half a decade, dedicating my career to helping individuals navigate through challenging times. My journey began in the Mental Health Emergency Admitting Department at a psychiatric hospital, where I assessed clients in immediate crisis. This intense experience shaped my approach to care, emphasizing the importance of immediate support and long-term healing. Currently, I work in the Outpatient Psychiatry Department, assisting clients in partial hospitalization programs or intensive outpatient programs. Over the past two years, I've had the privilege of working with both adolescents and adults in outpatient settings, and I've grown incredibly passionate about the hospital population I serve. My educational background includes a Master of Arts (MA) degree, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. My specialties include trauma, grief/bereavement, and adolescent & teen mental/behavioral health. I believe in a compassionate and client-centered approach, where we work together to achieve your goals. I am here to support you, providing a safe space to explore your feelings and experiences. One of the most rewarding experiences in my career was volunteering at The Hope and Healing Place for a year, where I provided grief counseling. Initially, I never expected to enjoy working with kids, but their resilience and kind hearts, even in the face of immense loss, truly amazed me. This experience reinforced my belief in the strength and potential within each individual, regardless of age. I am deeply passionate about my work and committed to fighting alongside you for what you want. My goal is to help you grow into the best version of yourself, providing the tools and support you need to overcome obstacles and thrive. I look forward to meeting you and embarking on this journey together. Warm regards, Katherine
