Psychotherapist

It can be overwhelming to know where to start when you're not feeling your best. Exploring therapy is a big first step in resolving individual issues, and it takes courage. I specialize in working with individuals with anxiety, depression, substance use, and self-esteem issues. To me, therapy is a collaborative process, and I like to meet my clients "where they're at" and work together to create and accomplish goals. I encourage you to reach out if you'd like to learn more about the process or try it out! My approach As a therapist, my approach is client-centered, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I aim to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to work toward their goals. I prefer a strength-based approach, which means helping individuals identify and utilize their natural talents and tools to manage things that challenge them. My focus I work with adults of all ages. If you are feeling overwhelmed or anxious, struggling with depression, substance use, or seeking empowerment, I would love the opportunity to work with you. We can create goals together so you can start making the positive changes you want to see in your life. My communication style Counseling is a very personal experience. I want all clients to feel safe to share and feel heard. I prioritize giving you space to open up as you feel comfortable and provide supportive and constructive feedback. I don't want a client to ever feel judged or belittled. The time in counseling is for you, so if you're struggling with something or if something is not working, I aim to create an environment where you feel comfortable addressing this with me. My journey to mental healthcare My interest in counseling began when I worked in a domestic violence shelter as a social worker. I witnessed a need for therapy but a lack of resources. Subsequently, I decided to go back to school to pursue a career in counseling.
