What should a new client know about working with you?

I bring a very personable yet direct approach to therapy. I want you to feel heard and cared for, but also encouraged in the direction you would like to go. I look at the whole person for treatment, because our mental health is not isolated from the rest of our being and life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I start with an in-depth psychosocial assessment to gauge proper treatment moving forward. We will cover a detailed look at presenting issues, co-occurring concerns, and social history. This will allow me to create a plan for effective treatment. We will discuss frequency of sessions, if other providers should be involved, and what your personal goals and plans for therapy are. Once we the initial assessment is complete, we will create a draft of what the next 3-6 months of our time together may look like and forward accordingly.
