What should a new client know about working with you?

DISCLAIMER: We are not able to accept Medicare or Medicaid plans at this time. My path to becoming a therapist began with a deep interest in helping others. Starting out in education, I realized that mental health was a fundamental issue impacting learning, and that I wanted to support others on a deeper level than teaching and instruction alone could offer. Volunteering as a mentor at a middle school in Texas, I saw firsthand the immense need for mental health support. Subsequent world events only reinforced how significant that need truly is. These experiences deepened my commitment to providing evidence-based, quality mental health care, with curiosity, compassion, and creativity.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is at the core of my practice, and I also draw from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Behavioral Activation. At all times, you can expect a supportive, affirming environment where your unique needs guide our work. Using mindfulness techniques and gradual exposure therapy, I'll help you build the skills to self-regulate under stress. My style is gentle and trauma-informed, designed to create a safe and calming space where you feel comfortable being honest and open. No two people are the same, and the care you receive will reflect that.
