Getting to know Katherine (Kathy) Bielik

Kathy is a licensed Professional Counselor who works with children and adolescents (ages 10 and up) as well as adults facing a wide variety of struggles and diagnoses. She also has experience assisting couples and families in working through their challenges by helping them communicate more effectively and disengage from the power struggles that often undermine those relationships. Kathy earned her Master's in Counseling Psychology from Tarleton State University, Waco. Before that, she traveled with her husband as a military spouse and raised their two children together. Prior to joining Chupik Counseling, Kathy worked at a private practice in Waco, treating clients of all ages in an office setting and also doing contract work with adolescent boys in a residential treatment setting. She has experience working with developmentally delayed adults and has facilitated a local Asperger's support group for the past ten years. Message from Kathy: ?I believe it is often not our thoughts themselves but the relationship we have with those thoughts that causes much of the distress in our lives. It is my hope to help guide others through their journey to find the courage and acceptance to face and overcome whatever challenges life has brought them.?
