Getting to know Katherine (Katie) Pancione

As a dedicated and compassionate psychotherapist, Katie specializes in empowering individuals facing life changes on their journey toward growth, healing, and resilience. She holds a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marymount University, which has equipped her with a deep understanding of the complexities of emotional challenges. Katie offers a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their feelings of loss, uncertainty, and life transitions.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a millennial woman with a penchant for dark humor and a passion for helping others navigate life's challenges. As a psychotherapist, I believe in the power of laughter and levity, even in the midst of difficult times. With a unique blend of empathy, wit, and a deep understanding of the human psyche, I offer a refreshingly relatable approach to psychotherapy. I work on getting to know you as an individual to help create a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of being misunderstood. If you're looking for a therapist who can help you navigate life's challenges while sharing a laugh or two, I'm here to accompany you on your journey. Together, we can find strength in vulnerability, embrace growth, and discover the resilience within you. Let's take that first step towards healing and empowerment – reach out to me and explore the transformative power of dark humor and therapy.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I am available to meet in person or via telehealth. If we meet via telehealth, find a space where you feel comfortable and free to speak. I do not mind if you need to eat or do a facemask, as I consider therapy your self-care time. If we meet in person, you will enter my office and sit in our waiting room until I come to get you for the start of our session. At the beginning of our session, I will ask you what you would like to focus on. If you do not have anything in mind, I am known for finding the right questions to get the ball rolling. As we get closer to the end of the hour, I will let you know our time is coming to an end so we can plan and prepare for the days or weeks ahead. I will then end our session by asking for feedback. It is important to me to know that the time, money, and energy you are putting into your therapeutic journey is getting a return on your investment.
