Psychotherapist

When navigating a new journey into pregnancy and parenthood, our past experiences can shape the story we tell ourselves about how motherhood will look on us. This may be an old story that we have heard from others, or simply how we grew up watching our caregivers interact with each other. It can be frustrating when progress towards healing feels like a rocky path, and thoughts of doubt come up. I help women who are pregnant, postpartum, and struggling with infertility to reimagine what motherhood can look like. Oftentimes this means examining and reshaping the behavior and coping skills we adopted to survive challenging or traumatic situations in our past. Through trauma-focused strategies, I work with clients to build strength and cultivate self-compassion as they step into their new role as a parent. Parenthood isn't a one-size-fits-all approach, and neither is therapy. My practice focuses on connecting clients with their most empowered self. I will work with you to create your blueprint for coping with motherhood and how you want to build resilience in yourself and your family. I am a licensed clinical social worker and am EMDR-trained. I've had the privilege of working with clients across the lifespan in various settings, which has enriched my understanding of diverse perspectives. Throughout this work, I have found a passion for translating my community-based focus to provide direct therapy to clients. I am passionate about working with women and teenagers who have overcome adversity and are interested in healing deep-rooted wounds. Outside the office, I enjoy spending time reading or playing video games, surrounded by my two cats. I enjoy trying new restaurants, crafting, and exploring Texas State Parks with my husband.
