I'm an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) who feels deeply passionate about working with children, families, and adults navigating life's hardest moments. I specialize in working with elementary-aged children, drawing on play therapy and evidence-based prevention work as a previous certified Incredible Years facilitator. I also work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, and major life transitions, using an integrative approach rooted in CBT and ACT. My approach to therapy is warm, genuine, and collaborative — I believe healing happens best in a space where you feel truly safe and seen. I love working with children, teens, and emerging adults in any capacity, as well as families looking to strengthen their connection and improve communication. I have a special passion for supporting military families and military spouses navigating the unique challenges of that lifestyle. I also work with adults managing anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions, helping each person find healing and growth in a way that feels authentic to who they are.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Some of my favorite approaches include play therapy, CBT, and ACT — I love how each of these tools can be tailored to meet a client exactly where they are. I am also a certified Incredible Years facilitator, which has deeply shaped how I think about prevention, early intervention, and the power of building skills early in life. I approach every client through a trauma-informed and culturally humble lens, recognizing that each person's background, identity, and lived experience are central to who they are and how they heal. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of everything — when a client feels truly safe and genuinely seen, that is where the real work begins. My goal for every client is simple: to leave our work together feeling more grounded, more confident, and more connected to themselves and the life they want to live.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My style as a therapist is warm, genuine, and collaborative — I show up for every session as my full, authentic self because I believe that realness is contagious. When clients feel that their therapist is truly present and human, it makes it easier for them to be present and human too. I take the therapeutic relationship seriously and invest deeply in building a space where you feel safe, understood, and never judged.I am a firm believer in meeting clients exactly where they are — there is no timeline for healing and no one-size-fits-all approach. I will follow your lead, ask a lot of questions, and always be curious about your unique story. I also believe that laughter and lightness have a place in therapy — healing doesn't always have to be heavy.Above all, I want you to know that I am in your corner. Every single session. I believe every person who walks through my door deserves to feel safe, valued, and genuinely cared for. I believe healing is not linear and that there is no such thing as being "too much" in this space. And I deeply believe that the right therapeutic relationship can change everything. What it's like in session with me: Expect warmth, honesty, and genuine curiosity about who you are. I am not a blank slate therapist — I show up as a real person who laughs and genuinely cares. Our first sessions will be all about building trust at whatever pace feels right for you. You can expect to leave feeling a little lighter than when you walked in.
