Katherine Tague, LPC

Psychotherapist
239 Glenville Rd., Suite 3, Greenwich, CT
If you have been struggling with how you feel in your body-then you know how tiring the constant chatter about what to eat can be. You wake up with a new plan. You count calories, swear off certain foods, and push yourself. You check your reflection in the mirror-willing yourself to be smaller, wishing to be different. But after a while, all this restriction builds up-and you find yourself back in the kitchen, starving and going through the cupboards. I understand these challenges deeply. I hold a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Fordham University and a Bachelor's degree from Boston College. My training equips me to support you in breaking free from this exhausting cycle and developing a healthier, more compassionate relationship with your body and food.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In therapy, we’ll focus on tangible, evidence-based strategies to help you create a whole new relationship with food. We’ll also talk through what might be going on at home, school, or work that may be causing you treat your body this way. Through our work, you’ll stop eating a way that doesn’t feel good— but you’ll also start to create a life of more ease, joy and fun. My overall goal for you is to leave the food noise behind, so that you can enjoy a more present, engaged life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

If you have been feeling stressed or anxious — we’ll explore which habits or thoughts patterns might be contributing to that experience. We’ll also practice coping skills for navigating tough moments and talk through lifestyle changes you can implement to improve your brain health. After our initial intake session, we can see each other weekly or every-other week. I may also occasionally assign homework for you to complete outside of session hours. Throughout our relationship, we’ll assess the benefit you’re receiving from these sessions. We’ll evaluate what’s working, what’s not, and go from there.

Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $0 for 45 minutes
Ongoing session: $250 for 45 minutes
  • Sliding scale: Offers lower out-of-pocket fees on an individual basis, typically based on your ability to pay

More information on payments and coverage

My individual therapy rate is $250 per session. As a mental health professional committed to providing access to care for people of all backgrounds, sliding scale pricing is also available. Payment is collected via my client portal. I do not accept insurance, as a result of my commitment to individualized, customized support. Unfortunately, working with insurance companies often limits care, as insurance providers often dictate care.
