Getting to know Kathleen Brady

Kathleen M. Brady is a licensed psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience. She holds a Master's in Social Work from Fordham University. Kathleen brings compassion, sincerity, and an honest desire to help others achieve clarity. She provides a nurturing, nonjudgmental environment that allows clients to feel safe and supported while confronting life's issues.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My path to becoming a therapist started in childhood, like all things. It began with one of the biggest questions we all have: “What is the meaning of life?” This question led me to explore and attempt to understand how human beings strive to comprehend their own problems, ideas, and situations while experiencing their worlds. My therapeutic approach is based on collaboration, action, and a human-centered philosophy. Together, we will shape our sessions to address both your challenges and your needs. At the beginning of our therapy journey, we'll have a conversation about your treatment goals, whether they are short-term or long-term in nature. If you're unsure about your goals at the outset, that's perfectly fine too. My priority is to ensure that you feel supported throughout this process. I believe that a genuine therapeutic alliance and mutual trust are essential in developing a safe atmosphere for healing. Ultimately, the quality of our state of mind defines our perception of ourselves and others and impacts how we move through the world. I deeply value your courage and willingness to be open and vulnerable, recognizing that change can be challenging but also offers opportunities for growth.
