Kathleen (Kit) Smith, LCSW

Psychotherapist
711 Jefferson St, Ste 203, Fairfield, CA
I believe that everyone has their own answers about how to live their best life. Unfortunately, sometimes those answers are buried under layers of fear, trauma, shame, self-doubt, or self-sabotaging beliefs. In therapy, I like to help people identify and address the things that are getting in their way so they can take authentic action toward having a happier, healthier life. I have been a mental health practitioner for over 30 years and have worked with a wide variety of people and presenting problems. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Currently, I choose to see adults only. I work particularly well with trauma and anxiety disorders but am also skilled in dealing with depression, grief, life transitions, co-dependency, and chronic illness. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches because everyone is different, and what works for one person may not be helpful for another. If this sounds like what you're looking for, please contact me so we can begin or continue your healing journey.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
