Hi there, I'm Kathleen! I believe in a holistic approach combining the mind, body, & spirit to help my clients achieve and maintain balance. I help individuals and couples build effective skills for resolving issues, improving communication, providing practical knowledge, education, and skills necessary to manage stress & anxiety to help negotiate change to lead better lives. My approach I use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you identify and reshape unhelpful thought patterns. This approach is hands-on and gives you tools to feel more in control of your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Based on your unique needs, I may adapt my approach to include practices like mindfulness and may suggest medication. Your goals and progress are my primary focus. Together, we’ll identify challenges and work on strategies to help you move forward with confidence. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and utilize trauma therapy to help you handle your symptoms and process your trauma(s). Lastly, I am trained in EMDR. If you are a candidate for that modality, I will discuss it with you to see if you're open to trying it. My focus Have you been struggling with anxiety, complex grief, chronic stress, trauma, &/or PTSD? I work with adults to help them manage their symptoms, life transitions, work through grief, and those seeking support for various issues. Whether you’re working through trauma, building coping skills, or exploring your personal goals, I’ll work with you to create a growth plan that feels empowering and achievable. My communication style I utilize clear and open communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I engage in active listening and will give you opportunities to reflect on your experiences with me as an empathetic therapist. If we’re working through something challenging, you can expect me to be calm and patient and also help to guide you through it.
