Psychotherapist
103 Weatherstone Dr, 704, Woodstock, GA
I'm a licensed professional counselor with over 20 years of experience specializing in anxiety, self-worth, and helping people move from feeling stuck to feeling confident and clear-headed. My background includes a double major in Social Science and Elementary Education from [your college]. After graduation, I worked with emotionally disturbed children in a specialized school setting, which gave me early hands-on experience understanding how thoughts and behaviors connect—especially under stress. I went on to earn my Master's degree in Applied Clinical Psychology, then pursued advanced training at the Albert Ellis Institute in New York City, where I earned an advanced certificate in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). REBT is the foundation of my work: it's a proven, practical approach that helps people identify and change the irrational beliefs that fuel anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and self-doubt. I offer telehealth across Georgia and in-person sessions in the Roswell/Woodstock area. My focus is helping you build rational thinking skills and lasting confidence so you can handle life's challenges without constantly second-guessing yourself.

What should a new client know about working with you?

What should a new client know about working with you? I'm the kind of therapist who's warm and easy to talk to, but also direct when it matters. I won't let you spin your wheels—we're here to make real progress, and I'll help you get there without it feeling overwhelming. In our first session, we'll talk about what brought you in and what you're hoping will change. I'll ask questions to understand how you're thinking about things, and I'll start giving you tools right away. You'll leave with at least one practical strategy you can actually use. My style is structured but relaxed. I'll gently challenge thoughts that aren't helping you, point out patterns you might not see, and give you clear steps to practice between sessions. I use humor when it fits, but I always take your concerns seriously. What I need from you: Honesty and a willingness to try new approaches, even when they feel a little awkward at first. I'll guide you through it and make it as manageable as possible. If you're ready for therapy that's genuinely supportive, straightforward, and focused on getting you unstuck—I'd love to work with you.
