“We do a lot of talking. More in 30 minutes then compared to hours spent other times in absolute silence… that being said Kati is very nice and kind hearted and truly wants the best for me. Can’t complain about anything other then the constant directing in order to achieve a fuller happier life.I guess that last thing I want to mention is one of the greatest things Kati does is prepare me for upcoming challenges I thought I would never be facing. With her help and guidance I start my week with a bang which helps me throughout the rest of the week.”

Getting to know Kathleen Overmier
Making the decision to get help for your mental well-being is incredibly important and brave. I am here to support and assist you on your path to a better, more fulfilled life. I take a person centered holistic approach to therapy in which we consider all aspects of your life. I graduated from Case Western Reserve University and I am a Licensed Masters of Social Work. I am under the supervision of a LCSW-S. I am passionate about working with individuals with eating disorders and body image issues and have experience in working with both. I have spent several years working in a treatment center that specializes in eating disorders and I have considerable experience with anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder. I have a special interest in Acceptance Commitment Therapy and apply it in my practice regularly. I also am familiar with several other types of therapies that I use to help personalize my work with each person. I am continuously learning about the treatment and effects of trauma and keeping up to date with evidence-based practices including working on being certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I am excited to get to meet you and work collaboratively to achieve your goals so you can live a life of meaning and purpose.
