Getting to know Kathryn Sanguinetti

Hello and welcome! I specialize in working with adults navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions and relationship difficulties. My approach to therapy is person-centered and psychodynamic, and I use various modalities to help people become more connected to their true selves. In therapy, I work with people to explore, make sense of, and identify how their upbringing may be contributing to challenges in life. This awareness can lead to healing and be a catalyst for positive change. I also use mindfulness-based CBT to help people become aware of and challenge thoughts that aren’t true and are contributing to depression, anxiety and low self-esteem.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am a very good listener, curious, understanding and compassionate. Feeling seen, heard and understood is powerful and can be healing in itself. My goal is to create a safe space for people to be themselves. I have been successful in helping adults resolve depression, grieve losses, reduce and manage symptoms of anxiety, and take better care of themselves.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In the first session, we will get to know each other and see if it feels like a good fit. We will talk about what is bringing you into therapy and discuss therapy goals.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
