"As our world becomes increasingly more complex and seemingly chaotic, we often find ourselves struggling to navigate day-to-day experiences. These experiences can be big, or they can be a lot of little issues that seem to pile up. Either way, it might feel as though what you're going through is insurmountable. When we feel overwhelmed, our emotions can be strong and we might feel sadness, anger, or despair - or everything in between. We might make choices that don't turn out well. School or work responsibilities sometimes fall by the wayside. Perhaps we believe nobody understands what we're feeling. I can help you feel heard and together we can develop the tools you need to manage life. I graduated from Capital University with a BS in Psychology and then the University of Dayton with a Masters degree in Community Counseling. I pursued the additional coursework and training to earn my independent license as a Professional Clinical Counselor, and then moved on to working on a doctoral degree in Education. My internship allowed me to work with adolescents and young adults trying to navigate the world of mental health, and this has remained my primary area of focus. I have worked as both a counselor and an educator in a wide variety of settings. My work and educational experiences give me a unique opportunity to help children through adults with issues ranging from educational concerns to depression, anxiety, and more severe mental health diagnoses. I have also addressed issues pertaining to adults with criminal records and youth involved in the juvenile legal system. Through an eclectic approach, with an emphasis on behavioral and humanistic strategies, I aim to help clients face issues with a new perspective and adopt healthier habits to promote better mental health. I provide open, nonjudgmental clinical help and work hard to gain and maintain a trusting client-counselor relationship. My goal is to work with you to help address the concerns or barriers you face,
