Hello! My name is Kathy Kinskey. I have a masters degree in marriage and family counseling & I am greatly honored to be a seasoned, licensed professional counselor who has worked with individuals, families and children for over 26 years!
My experience and commitment to training continue help me hone and update my specialization in attachment and trauma work so as you and I collaborate, we have current tools to help you thrive! Attachment and trauma work are important areas for all of us to address if we want to live and love fully. Taking a quiz and identifying your attachment style is the first step to putting the puzzle pieces together about how your relationship style may be influencing your life-from how and who you choose as a life partner, how you relate to your children, yourself, your work, money and to all of life! I also specialize in preparation for birth and adoption, bonding, post partum/ post-adoption adjustment and depression and anxiety - all areas where attachment work can transform your life and your relationships. Know that attachment style work can be a fascinating and fun process of discovery! And know, too, you have support here in using these great tools to meet your goals.
Lastly, evidence-based tools for trauma & attachment work can also help you remove entrepreneurial & career blocks & find your way through anxiety & loss. You can break through old patterns...patterns that are actually just signals that you need a safe & supportive environment along with effective tools so you can develop & use emotional literacy as essential life guidance. No one taught us this stuff; it's not your fault you don't have this needed information and tools. The good news though is these things are here for us now!
What should a new client know about working with you?
Clients who are active in doing their inner work say they understand themselves finally and are waking up with enthusiasm, hope and respect for self rather than anxiety, a heavy heart and dread. They report finally having the supports they need to create the relationships and lives they always longed for.
Together, we'll also use simple and fun tools like quizzes, apps and tracking methods to clarify your understanding of yourself and to track your progress and wins so you know you're on track. By implementing these visual aids, you can take better advantage of your counseling experience and have more day-to-day clarity about where you are with your relationship and life goals!

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
