Kathy Phoenix, LCSW

Psychotherapist
TX
Life happens. And sometimes it can feel so overwhelming. Being able to process your fears, concerns, and uncertainties with someone else can help make dealing with difficult times more manageable. It has been my privilege for over 30 years to journey with individuals going through their rough moments. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have enjoyed working in the areas of Mental Health, Grief/Bereavement, Geriatrics, Long-Term Care, and Hospice/Palliative Care. I specialize in supporting clients through life transitions, anxiety/depression, trauma events, chronic and terminal illness, and complicated grief, with a specialty in working with the veteran and LGBTQ+ communities. I hold a Doctor of Social Work degree from Capella University (2019), a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Kansas (1996), and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Colorado State University (1989). I also served in the US Army Reserve from 1988 to 1996.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
