Psychotherapist
UT
Hi there, I'm Kati! I’m glad you are here. I'm committed to creating a calm, supportive space where you feel safe to show up exactly as you are. My approach is grounded in openness, compassion, and deep respect for each client’s unique journey. Whether you're facing depression, anxiety, past trauma, relationship struggles, or navigating LGBTQ+ issues, I’m here to walk alongside you. I believe therapy should be meaningful and client-directed—guided by your goals, your pace, and what matters most to you. Healing doesn’t happen in a straight line, and I honor the courage it takes to begin. If and when you're ready to take that first step, I welcome you to reach out. You're not alone, and support is here when you need it. My approach In our work together, I’ll draw from several approaches depending on what best supports you. I use tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and my work is also informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS). I often incorporate mindfulness practices and help clients explore the important connection between mind and body in healing and personal growth. There’s no one-size-fits-all in therapy. I’ll always meet you where you are, and together we’ll choose an approach that fits your needs and goals. We’ll work at your pace to create a path that feels meaningful, manageable, and supportive for you. My focus I work with individuals who are ready to explore their inner world—even if they’re not sure where to begin. Many of my clients are navigating depression, anxiety, past trauma, low self-esteem, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life’s challenges. I also support those who want to better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, and develop healthier ways to cope. I have a special commitment to supporting transgender individuals who are looking for an affirming, knowledgeable ally as they heal from past trauma and reconnect.

I was never contacted about the zoom meeting information and I had to call them less than an hour before. For her specifically though, I came with several specific things in mind and even after expressing them to her she acknowledged them and immediately moved on. She went down her list of questions and once done kept bringing the conversation back to my parents, which were not the point of the session. It was the least productive therapy session I’ve ever experienced. She said she’d email me some documents she thought would be helpful (for problems she wanted to address, not the ones I wanted help with) within a few hours. It’s been over 24 hours and I’ve heard nothing back and I have no way to contact her. It was so emotionally draining to speak with her and I don’t know how much I’ll have to owe her yet. Don’t recommend if you’re looking for 2-3 therapy sessions to work through a few things ?? :(
