Psychotherapist

Have you been struggling with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, self-esteem, life transitions, identity development, relationship issues, trauma, or weight-related concerns? In our work together I use a narrative, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach. I recognize you as the expert in your own life and value the strengths, abilities, wisdom, and personal characteristics you bring to counseling. In my work with couples I use the Gottman Method. I aim to help you recognize and understand the emotions, thoughts, behaviors, and patterns that may be keeping you from making any changes you want for yourself. I am also very passionate about recognizing and reducing anti-fatness in mental health care. I recognize that individuals with higher body weight experience anti-fatness from loved ones, professionals, and society, and I am dedicated to addressing and reducing this stigma, specifically in the counseling profession. Providing quality services where you feel safe to be your authentic self and express yourself freely while feeling heard and understood is of utmost importance to me. I look forward to meeting you and working together on your personal journey of healing and growth!
