Katie Ross-McGinnis, MA

Psychotherapist
WI
My approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and collaboration. I work with individuals across the lifespan, helping them navigate the complexities of trauma, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, and disconnection from self. Whether you're rebuilding a sense of safety, working through preverbal trauma, or simply looking for a more embodied therapeutic experience, equine work can open new doors to healing. I integrate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) into my work, supporting clients in developing deeper understanding. One of the unique aspects of my practice is offering Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. For many, healing begins with reconnecting to the body, and working with horses offers a powerful path to that reconnection. I believe therapy is a place where all parts of you are welcome. My role is to walk alongside you, offering tools, perspective, and a safe relationship that helps foster real and lasting change. Whether we’re in the office or in the barn, I meet each client where they are, integrating evidence-based practices with deep attunement to your unique experience.
