Psychotherapist
MO
Hi there, I'm Katrina! My name is Katie LaCombe, and I am a licensed professional counselor and registered art therapist. I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. As a compassionate and experienced therapist, I work with individuals navigating a wide range of challenges, including self-esteem, anxiety, trauma, identity exploration, sexual orientation, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. My approach is rooted in empathy, respect, and collaboration, and I create a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. My approach I integrate multiple therapeutic modalities into my practice, including Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Art Therapy, Relational-Cultural Therapy (RCT), and Strengths-Based and Person-Centered Therapy. By combining these approaches, I tailor my work to each individual, helping clients rewrite their personal stories, process past trauma, and strengthen their resilience and sense of self. My focus Whether you’re struggling with deep-seated trauma or simply feeling disconnected from your true self, my goal is to help you find healing, understanding, and empowerment. Together, we will work toward uncovering your inner strengths and achieving a deeper sense of fulfillment and acceptance. I work with individuals across the lifespan and welcome those from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. My therapeutic style is warm, compassionate, and strengths-focused, with an emphasis on building a genuine, trusting relationship. My journey to mental healthcare As a queer person living in Missouri, I know what it is like to not always feel valued or welcome. I know how powerful therapy can be in transforming lives after trauma and hardship, and I hope you allow me to walk alongside you on your journey to healing.
