Getting to know Katya Budzinski

Hello! My name is Katya, and I am a Chicagoland-based Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). I received my Master's in Counseling from DePaul University in 2019, and I have been practicing ever since. I love working with all different types of individuals and challenges, but I specialize in the following: anxiety, stress, burnout, and fear; substance abuse challenges; relationship and intimacy conflict; self-esteem and self-worth; grief and loss; discomfort with being mentally and emotionally vulnerable; identifying unhealthy and unhelpful patterns; work conflict; and assertive communication and self-advocacy skills. I work hard to ensure that I offer the best services, within my scope, for each of my clients and their unique goals and needs. *I am also licensed in Wisconsin.*

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am laid back, and I seek to foster an environment in which clients feel appropriately challenged, heard, validated, and accepted. My therapy approach gravitates towards Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered, but I am no stranger to other approaches and treatment modalities.
