Kay Adkins, LPC

Kay Adkins, LPC

Psychotherapist
MO
Welcome! I am a licensed professional counselor, certified Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) practitioner, and coach. I started my education at College of the Ozarks, Point Lookout, Missouri, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Philosophy/Religion and Psychology. I went on to complete my Master of Science in Counseling from Missouri State University, Springfield, Missouri. I am trained primarily in Person-Centered Therapy, a client-centered approach that allows the client to lead the session. Often, as we struggle through the sufferings and sorrows of life, we become disconnected—disconnected from ourselves, our identity, the ones we love, our emotions, our thoughts, and life in general. We start walking through life on autopilot, forgetting to appreciate what we have and what we used to love. My goal is to help you reconnect to those things you love and appreciate. I will walk with you through the dark and gloomy conditions of life to help you discover your strength within. I want to help you learn new ways to think so that you can reduce misery and find the courage to face the inner turmoil you have tried to avoid for so long. It is possible to achieve peace, serenity, contentment, and connect within.
