Getting to know Kayla Acevedo
I am committed to providing inclusive, trauma-informed care for neurodivergent individuals, the LGBTQ+ community, and anyone navigating anxiety, depression or grief. Together, we will find the medium—be it words, art, or a mix of both—that best reflects your path toward mental wellness., words only paint half the picture. You might know exactly how you feel, but struggle to put it into a sentence—or perhaps you’re feeling a 'magnitude' of emotion that feels impossible to describe. I believe therapy should be as dynamic as you are.
As a therapist trained in both traditional talk therapy and Art Therapy, I provide a flexible space where your needs dictate the tools we use. For some, art is a vital bridge to healing; for others, a direct conversation is what’s needed most. Whether we are using evidence-based CBT and DBT to manage anxiety and depression, or utilizing creative modalities to break through a block, my goal is to help you get to the root of your story.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Our practice does NOT provide prescriptions for medication, testing for ADHD or Autism, or letters for emotional support animals.
