Getting to know Kayla Kalsky

Clients come to me to overcome challenges that leave them feeling stuck and seeking support for relationship issues, ADHD, anxiety, and trauma. For relationships, I offer guidance in areas such as codependency, infidelity, narcissistic relationships, divorce, and parenting. I often work with adults who have experienced emotionally immature parents, those navigating grief, life adjustments and transitions, childhood trauma, military experience, and those struggling with anxiety. Our sessions will enhance your coping skills, improve decision-making and problem-solving abilities, build self-esteem, and strengthen communication. Growth and change are not easy to achieve alone. We will work to "rewire" your brain by developing new skills and tools that foster real progress and improvement. Throughout our sessions, we delve into your goals, thought and behavior patterns, and past experiences to gain a better understanding of you. I hold an EdM in Mental Health Counseling from Columbia University, which informs my approach to therapy and supports my commitment to evidence-based practices. Finding a therapist you connect with is an important part of a process that can provoke anxiety. I aim to empower, guide, and support you through difficult times.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our beginning sessions will focus on building a therapeutic relationship, learning more about you, and understanding the relationships, stressors, and dynamics in your life. Then we will start implementing skills and tools while challenging you to reach your goals.
