Psychotherapist
1010 Land Creek Cove, Ste 150, Austin, TX
Deciding to be a therapist was an easy decision for me. It just felt right. My journey to becoming a therapist was humbling and eye-opening. I need to do my work to be the therapist I wanted to be. This process changed me and I felt the power of this work. I always believed in our ability to heal. I believed in the human spirit's resiliency. Yet, my own journey in therapy awakened this belief in a new way. Since then, the human drive to heal has intrigued me. We have a strong need to understand ourselves, find meaning, and connect with others. I am both honored and humbled to witness with my clients their healing and finding strength in their vulnerability and authenticity. The journey towards having more of yourself is full of potential, light, and healing. I am in awe of my clients pursuit of this and I am grateful to witness their powerful personal changes. I am also a certified 200-hour yoga instructor and use the teachings of yoga in my work in the therapy space. I blend traditional therapies such a NARM with creative, Eastern-style methods. I believe suffering and pain are our guides to healing. As it reconnects us to our body, mind, and spirit. Suffering is often our first sign of needing help and provides many clues on how to heal. I explore with my clients, from this angle, ways to align with their inner healer. Our journey is to help them hear the message that suffering has for them. I use a relational approach to therapy. I believe our connection to others is key for a healthy life. Our relationships, both good and bad, shape our learning. They create a template for how we operate in the world. By building a warm, accepting, and collaborative relationship, clients feel empowered to take this framework into their personal lives.
