Hi there! I'm Keiona, a licensed social worker and therapist at Intuit Healing, providing therapy for adolescents and adults in Chicago, IL. I specialize in trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and anti-oppressive therapy, with particular experience supporting LGBTQIA+, Black, Queer, and other marginalized communities. I practice from a human-first perspective, recognizing that every body is its own system, and that we're all shaped by larger systems that impact our whole well-being. My approach draws from humanistic and psychodynamic theories, integrated with trauma-informed, systemic, and culturally responsive care. I use a range of evidence-based interventions, including CBT, DBT, RO-DBT, ACT, and relational repair work. Therapy with me is a space to repair, co-regulate, stay curious, and be your true self. I work best with people who value direct, honest communication and open feedback. As a complex trauma survivor myself, I understand what it means to take up space in a world that often asks you to shrink. Feedback isn't optional in our work together, it's how we build a safe, collaborative relationship. I believe awareness of your own choice and autonomy is a privilege, and I'm here to help you find, strengthen, and hold onto it. I identify as a non-binary, Black, Queer therapist, and I bring lived experience alongside clinical training to my work with LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and other marginalized clients. Part of how I create a safe space is by refusing to pathologize people for having natural reactions to societal and structural inequality.
