Keisha Clayton-Fearon, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CT
My name is Keisha Clayton Fearon, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Connecticut, working with clients statewide via telehealth. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Yeshiva College. I work with adolescents, couples, and older/geriatric populations, specializing in couples' issues, anxiety, and stress. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help my clients make progress and start feeling better. My approach My approach to therapy varies based on each client’s needs. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and sometimes the Gottman Method. These modalities help me and the client build a shared understanding of their reality and allow us to work together to chart a path forward. My focus I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for teens and young adults dealing with life transitions and social pressures, as well as couples struggling with communication issues and rebuilding trust. I have also done extensive work with the older/geriatric population. Elderly depression is often overlooked due to chronic health issues, mild cognitive decline, loneliness, and other biopsychosocial losses associated with aging. I help my clients navigate these transition periods and build skills to feel better about themselves and develop a more positive outlook on life. Additionally, I hold a master’s degree in Christian Counseling and work with the Christian population in both individual and marriage counseling. My communication style My communication style is calm, accommodating, and personable. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me about anything, and I pride myself on my ability to listen without judgment.
