Keisha Owens received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Morgan State University and completed her master's degree in Counseling Psychology at National University in Los Angeles. She has over 20 years of clinical experience across a variety of settings, including outpatient specialty clinics, crisis intervention, dual-diagnosed substance abuse outpatient programs, structured intensive outpatient programs, inpatient psychiatric care, large nonprofits, and private practice. Keisha has also taught social work and related courses at Brandman University. She has provided clinical and administrative supervision to social work students, interns, and professionals. Her broad clinical experience includes working with individuals and groups across the lifespan in the following areas: depression and bipolar disorder, individuals with special needs, anxiety disorders, domestic violence, behavioral and discipline challenges, self-harm behavior, anger and stress management, trauma and abuse, family and relationship issues, children and adults with special needs, suicide assessment and risk reduction, chronic mental illness, and self-image and self-esteem issues.
