Kelisha Lagrone, LMFT

Psychotherapist
TX
At Honey Garden Therapy, I offer a grounded and integrative approach to healing that honors both the science and soul of your inner world. My work blends evidence-based methods such as somatic awareness, mindfulness, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) with a trauma-informed, culturally attuned lens. I specialize in supporting women navigating grief, burnout, anxiety, relational wounds, and life transitions. My goal is to help you reconnect with your body’s wisdom, find coherence in your story, and cultivate a sense of self-trust and emotional clarity. Clients often describe sessions as calm, reflective, and deeply restorative — a space to breathe, release, and reorient toward wholeness. Healing, in this space, is not about fixing what is broken but remembering what is whole. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California and Texas, and I look forward to walking alongside you as you rediscover your capacity for peace, presence, and renewal.

What should a new client know about working with you?

approach therapy as a collaborative process rooted in compassion, curiosity, and respect for your unique story. Together, we’ll explore not just what’s happening in your thoughts, but also what your body and emotions are communicating. You can expect a warm, steady, and reflective presence. I balance insight and structure with gentleness, allowing space for both conversation and quiet integration. I believe that lasting change happens through connection — to yourself, to your truth, and to what you value most.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My work is relational and collaborative, centered on creating a safe, grounded space for you to explore what’s happening beneath the surface. In our first few sessions, we’ll focus on understanding your history, current challenges, and goals for therapy. Together, we’ll identify patterns, strengths, and areas of growth to guide our work. As therapy unfolds, sessions often include gentle exploration of both mind and body — noticing emotions, sensations, and beliefs as they arise. I draw from trauma-informed, somatic, and parts-based approaches (including IFS and mindfulness practices) to help you build awareness, release tension, and integrate insight into everyday life. A typical session might include grounding or breathwork to begin, open dialogue, and reflective questions designed to deepen understanding and promote lasting change. I move at your pace — balancing structure with spaciousness — so that each session feels supportive, not overwhelming. My goal is for you to leave therapy feeling more connected to yourself, equipped with practical tools, and empowered to live with greater clarity, compassion, and self-trust.
