Getting to know Kelli Brunk

I am Kelli Brunk, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and with 50+ years of experience providing services to children, individuals, families, and groups, my goal is to use my knowledge and skill set to help people achieve a more fulfilling life. My therapy career began many years ago in Texas as an Incest and Sexual Abuse Specialist working with children and their families. Upon moving to South America, I formed an initiative with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to treat children and dysfunctional families. I also helped develop the first pain treatment institute in South America. Upon returning to the US, I worked with hospice as a bereavement counselor and therapist for patients and their families. I began private practice in 1997 and since have specialized in elder and disabled clients, children, families, and couples. I am fully bilingual and am licensed in Nevada, Florida and Georgia. I have been certified in Psychosocial Oncology and am a Certified Supervisor for licensees. As a therapist, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy coupled with Rational Emotive Therapy techniques to help clients achieve their therapeutic goals, and am strong on the psycho-educational approach as well. I have delivered conferences to professionals on relaxation techniques and use guided imagery in my work from time to time. Traumatic Incident Reduction is my method of choice for trauma PTSD. I am also a medical social worker should that expertise be needed.
