Kellie Jordan, MEd

Kellie Jordan, MEd

Psychotherapist
GA
My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by both professional experience and personal reflection. While working in nonprofit residential case management with adults living with severe and persistent mental illness, I saw firsthand how unprocessed trauma and ongoing emotional distress can affect every part of a person’s life. That work also led me to reflect on my own experience with therapy and the meaningful, life-changing support it provided for me. I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can show up as you are, without judgment and without pressure to have all the answers. My goal is to create a supportive, compassionate, and honest space where you feel heard, understood, and respected. You are the expert on your own life; my role is to walk alongside you, help you make sense of your experiences, and support you as you work toward the goals that matter most to you. I will make my clients feel heard and understood by creating and maintaining a supportive environment that is free from judgement and full of compassion, empathy, and honesty. My clients will be reminded that they are the experts regarding their lives, and I am there to work alongside them in an effort to achieve their therapeutic goals.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy “romanticizing” everyday life by adding small moments of style, intention, and care to my routine. One of my favorite ways to begin the day is putting together a cute outfit and treating myself to an iced caramel coffee before getting started. I believe these small rituals can be meaningful reminders to slow down, appreciate the present, and make room for joy, even in ordinary moments. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel vulnerable, and you do not have to do it alone. I would be honored to meet you where you are and support you on your journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Building trust is at the heart of my approach. I strive to be authentic, curious, and attentive to the whole person in front of me: your experiences, interests, strengths, values, and the things that make you who you are. I want therapy to move at a pace that feels right for you. You can help guide the direction of our conversations, while I offer support and gentle encouragement when it may feel important to explore difficult or uncomfortable areas.
