Getting to know Kelly Dearborn

Hi! I'm Kelly, a New York-based Licensed Mental Health Counselor and owner of Home Talk Therapy. I hold a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Fordham University. I specialize in helping adults and older adolescents navigate difficult life transitions, process stress, and find balance from overwhelm. I also support clients experiencing creative blocks, burnout, and stalled motivation. As an individual and group counselor, I have worked independently in private practice, as well as for colleges, universities, and community organizations.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe all people have a resilience we can access through talk therapy and community when faced with life's great emotional challenges. I am dedicated to helping all my clients find a sense of empowerment, connection, and joy within their own unique circumstances.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Based on the proven therapeutic benefits of physical movement and time in nature, I offer local clients the option to meet in person, outside for walk-and-talk sessions.
