Psychotherapist
FL
I'm Dr. Kelly Key, and I believe that within each of us lies the innate strength to overcome life's challenges and create meaningful change. As a licensed marriage and family therapist, licensed mental health counselor, and nationally certified counselor, I've spent over 14 years walking alongside individuals, couples, teens, and families as they navigate their unique journeys toward healing and growth. My work is grounded in the belief that you are the expert of your own life. I see my role as creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear. Together, we'll work collaboratively to identify your goals and develop a treatment plan that honors your unique needs, values, and preferences. I draw from evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, person-centered therapy, DBT, and postmodern approaches—always adapting my methods to what works best for you. Over the years, I've found myself naturally connecting with women navigating life transitions, individuals struggling with anxiety and self-esteem, couples seeking to strengthen their relationships, and adolescents working through emotional and behavioral challenges. I also have extensive experience supporting those dealing with relationship issues, divorce, self-injury, and questions around sexuality and gender identity. I earned my Bachelor of Science from Florida Atlantic University, followed by my Master's and Educational Specialist degrees in mental health counseling from the University of Florida. My journey in this field led me to pursue a Doctorate in counselor education and supervision from Old Dominion University. Currently, I serve as an associate professor, where I have the privilege of training the next generation of counselors while maintaining my clinical practice.
