I believe counseling should be a place where you feel comfortable being yourself—without judgment, pressure, or feeling like you have to have everything figured out before you walk through the door. My goal is to create a warm, supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and genuinely supported as we work together toward meaningful change. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) and work with adolescents, young adults, and adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, school-related stress, and other difficulties that can leave life feeling overwhelming or simply “off.” Before entering private practice, I spent 30 years in education, including many years as a high school counselor. That experience gave me a unique understanding of adolescents and young adults, as well as the pressures facing students and families. I also enjoy working with adults navigating relationships, changing roles, caregiving, grief, transitions, and the many unexpected turns life can take. My counseling style is person-centered, solution-focused, strengths-based, and collaborative. I incorporate practical CBT and DBT-informed strategies when helpful and am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a trauma-focused approach that may be used when appropriate. Therapy does not have to feel intimidating or overly clinical. Sometimes we need a safe place to talk, gain perspective, learn new tools, and recognize strengths we may have lost sight of along the way. Wherever you are starting from, we will work together at a pace that feels right for you. I offer in-person counseling in Woodforest in Montgomery, Texas, as well as telehealth appointments.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Finding the right therapist is important, and I want you to feel comfortable with the person you choose. My approach is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. We’ll work together to identify what matters most to you, build on your strengths, and develop practical tools that fit your life. In addition to traditional talk therapy and evidence-based counseling approaches, I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a trauma-focused approach that may be incorporated when appropriate for your individual needs and goals. ART is one of several therapeutic tools I offer, allowing treatment to be tailored to each client rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I welcome adolescents, young adults, and adults and offer both in-person and telehealth appointments. Insurance participation and appointment availability are reflected in my Zocdoc profile.
