Getting to know Kelly Mayor
Together we will explore your feelings and work on setting goals. Therapy is a safe place to talk about anything that you need to get off your chest. I like to collaborate with my clients and teach you the tools to overcome anxiety and fear. I utilize a strengths-based perspective and try to bring out the positive qualities in my clients. My clients would describe me as positive and bubbly. I understand that it can be difficult to begin counseling, but I am here to help. By reaching out to start therapy, you are taking a big first step.
I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2012. I have my Masters in Social Work from Florida State University. I am a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional through Evergreen Certifications. I am a member of the International Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Foundation and frequently attend IOCDF seminars. I have experience treating clients with Panic Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Agoraphobia, Illness-Anxiety Disorder, Specific Phobia, Post-Partum Depression/Anxiety/OCD, and Major Depressive Disorder.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Personally, I am a wife and a mother of four children. I have worked part-time providing counseling for the last ten years, while being at home to raise my kids. I enjoy being a therapist and getting to help my clients overcome their struggles. It is truly an honor to watch their journey and I enjoy cheering my clients on and watching them be successful in achieving their goals.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
