“Talking with Kelly felt comfortable, and I felt understood. When I drew a blank on what to say, she picked up the conversation and helped me ease back into it without any judgment. She lessened my anxieties about the appointment, and I would completely recommend her to anyone who has a hard time opening up to new people!”

Getting to know Kelly McCradic

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with two master’s degrees—one in Forensic Psychology from Argosy University and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Treatment of Addiction Disorders from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I honorably served four years in the United States Marine Corps as an administrative legal clerk. I have experience working with teens and adults who struggle with addiction, anxiety, depression, mood and personality disorders, trauma-related stress disorders, managing stress and life transitions, and female empowerment. I am also passionate about working with military personnel, veterans, and first responders.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I support clients who are interested in developing inner strength, creating space for mindfulness, finding self-awareness, and building confidence to reach their full potential. We will collaborate on techniques and treatment goals that allow you the freedom to begin the healing process and integrate mind, body, spirit, wellness, and recovery. I work from a client-centered and strength-based approach and utilize holistic and integrated therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectic behavioral therapy, and solution-focused therapy.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first session is the diagnostic assessment where the client discusses with the therapist what brings them to therapy, identifying goals, treatment plan, current concerns, and what the healing process looks like for the client. The first session is client-centered and directed by the client. The first few sessions are for the client and the clinician to build rapport and secure a safe place for talk therapy.

Clients who are covered by commercial insurance and those who choose to pay out of pocket for services ($ 250 Evaluation and $200 a session). If the client has met their deductible, their co-pay will be charged the night of the session. If the deductible has not been met, the client will be charged for the full amount of the session ($200). Please contact the insurance company to verify if the deductible has been met, and if there is a co-pay or co-insurance. I currently do not accept out-of-network clients, but I am taking Medicaid clients.
